Your benefit amount
The amount and payment year you enter are stored in the app on your device. Calculations happen on your device. We do not send your benefit amount or selected year to our servers or to advertisers. The app excludes these saved preferences from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Use Clear saved amount to remove the amount, or clear the app's storage to remove all saved preferences and downloaded data. No account, name, Social Security number, or bank details are required.
COLA updates
When you tap Calculate & check updates, the app requests a public data file hosted by Google Firebase Hosting. The request does not include your benefit amount or selected year. Google receives network information such as your IP address when serving the file. The app saves a copy of the public figures on your device for use when offline.
Advertisements and choices
The app uses Google AdMob. Google's advertising software can collect and share IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), advertising and other device identifiers, interactions with the app and ads, and diagnostic information. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Advertising data is encrypted in transit. We do not provide your entered benefit amount to Google AdMob.
Where applicable, a consent message lets you make advertising privacy choices. The Ad privacy choices button appears in the app when Google requires that option. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Declining personalized advertising does not disable the calculator.

Support and retention
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to send. We use those messages to respond and resolve support requests, and retain them only as needed for that purpose or applicable obligations. Do not include Social Security numbers or account credentials. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence. Google controls retention of data handled by its services under its policies; we cannot delete that data from within this app.
Audience and external links
The app is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Source links open third-party websites, which have their own privacy practices.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date identifies the current version.
